Buen Dia,
We are leaving SJPP on May 17 and plan to end up in Finisterre so we will need plenty of reward days along the way. We hope to spend the day in the following citys: Pamplona, Burgos, Leon, Astorga and Santiago. Any suggestion/recommendations on Hotels in these cities?

In Burgos I can recommend
Hotel Paris
Calle Ancha, 18
24003 León, Spain

I stayed there and it is beautiful, old world and not so expensive and about 500mts from the Cathedral.

In Leon
Hotel Paris
Calle Ancha, 18
24003 León, Spain

I didn't stay there but Camino friends did and said it was great. About 50mts from Cathedral.

Buen Camino.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
In Burgos I cannot recommend the hotel Cordon,Calle La Puebla 6 , highly enough ! The way we were looked after by the wonderful staff there was just amazing! They were so, so kind, I actually cried when we left ! It was not expensive, can't remember the actual price, but to have a lovely hot bath, white fluffy towels, and breakfast, was priceless :)

Agree also, with the hotel Paris in Leon. Another lovely place, with a spa! and bathrobes! Heaven. :)

If you like to reward yourself on the way, the Marriot in Burgos is an extremely good deal for a 4 star. It is also very close to the Cathedral.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
In Pamplona, we stayed in Hotel Europa. It's a 3 star hotel, and not so expensive. But the best part is their Michelin starred restaurant. When we stayed, there was an offer where hotel guests could enjoy 3 courses and 2 glasses of wine for €32.

The location is great and the staff are very friendly. Highly recommended!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
The Paradors in Santa Domingo de la Calzada, Leon and Santiago are all historic monuments linked to the Camino Frances. I have stayed in all of them and would recommend the rooms if not always the food though the breakfasts are very good. In Astorga we have stayed in the Hotel Gaudi which has a great position close to the cathedral and bishop's palace.

In Villafranca Montes de Oca (between Belorado and Burgos) there is a wonderful hotel "San Anton Abad" in a very old historical building right on the camino - it felt like staying in a parador but at a very reasonable price.

They even have the free service of giving you the option of a day's walking after which they will pick you up and bring you back to the hotel (and then set you down again the following day at the point where you left the preceding day). - The only drawback was that I felt like wishing to stay there forever!

Stayed in Hotel Europa in Pamplona too - didn't get to eat in the Michelin restaurant but everything else was great!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I stayed there during my walk last year and it was very nice for a reasonable price.

In Burgos now at Hotel Via Gotica and is listed on TripAdvisor. I am here now April 24th taking a break and celebrate my birthday. On the corner of Calle Madrid and Calle Valladolid in front of the bridge entrance to Plaza Santa Maria & the Cathedral. Great location.
