Today is day five for me on the camino. This is my first trek but so far it does not seem very crowded. Great weather, wonderful people. Have had no problems finding a place to stay , even in Brierley's suggested towns. Buen camino all!
Buen camino!!!

Felice navidad! I,m in Santiago after 32 days. You will soon hate bierlie and his book. Buy clothes line and pins as lot of penguins don't bring anything to hang clothes. Watch anything expensive drying or it will disappear. Early morning hikers clean out refrigerators of other peoples food so buy food as you travel. There are NOT a lot of stores along the trail. Took me four days to find a place to buy a bar of soap.

I'm with you Allan. I never had a problem with clothes or food disappearing and I didn't hear of others with that issue until now. Sounds like he's been very unlucky.

....and Buen Camino Erin!
