Hola! This introduction is a little late, as I made some posts on the Camino de Madrid site a few weeks ago. I'm planning to walk from Avila to Santiago de Compostela in August, 2015. (Yes, I know about the heat then.) The most direct route apparently is to take the Levante and then the Sanabres, and I will probably do that. I am a little concerned that those routes may be too challenging for me, since I am in my 60s and have been inactive for so long. But, I have begun training, and we'll see how things develop....
