Hi everyone!
My name is Liz and I live in Western Australia. I'll be retiring in a couple of years, when I intend to walk from Winchester to Santiago and then from Santiago to Rome and maybe back to Winchester or Canterbury.
OK - that's the eventual plan, but the initial one is Winchester to Santiago.
With two donkeys, or a donkey and a pony, as I have had a badly damaged knee for around 30 years, and can't walk too far for too long, or carry a weighty pack. Even so, I love walking - I just need a "friend" or two to help me with the luggage and giving me a lift - hence the equids!
I've already made several longish (three - four week) journeys here in Australia in just this way, but there is no real "destination" - or at least, not one that has a spiritual significance to me - at the end of the journey. That is what I hope Santiago will be.
Ultreia!
Liz
