- Time of past OR future Camino
- Feb. 17, 2013 to March 15, 2013 Pamplona to Santiago de Compostela. Winter 2014 hope to walk SJPdP to Santiago de Compostela.
I just wanted to introduce myself having just joined the forum. I left my home in Massachusetts on January 13 and spent the first two weeks in Portugal, 1 week in Lisbon and the 2nd in Fatima. The weather there was somewhat difficult and broke their 100+ years record. It was day after day of driving rain, cold and wind that uprooted trees and caused power outages, particularly in Fatima.
I them moved on to Zaragoza and also had a week of constant rain and cold temperatures. I arrived in Pamplona three days ago and already it has been a good mix of some sun, but a healthy dose of rain, wind and snow today. I am waiting for my brother-in-law who will arrive here on Feb. 16 and we will make our way either to St. Jean or Roncesvalles, depending on transportation and weather. I have the advantage of no set time schedule being retired, but Peter, my soon to be walking companion, is on a tighter schedule and is hoping to be completed in 35 days.
I appreciate all the great information posted here and will glady contribute as my camino begins and beyond.
