I am looking forward to my 3rd camino, this time del Norte. Just pulled out my trusty backpack and am getting super excited...2 more sleeps til my flights! Can't wait to see the beautiful scenery, churches and meet lovely people.

You will love it! Lots of up and downs though along the coast. The hills were tough for me but so worth it. Try to get to the Albergue in Irun early if you can. It is a big albergue but it did fill up and I started in late September last year. If you are starting in Irun on Sunday I could only find a few fruit stands to buy food (not alot of variety) and there weren't a lot of options for dinner either. There is a restaurant on the other side of a park very close to the Muni. I think you walk to the left when you get out of the albergue and you will see the park. Also when you get to San Sebastian you will deserve a treat. Go to Gelateria Boulevard on Alameda. It is the Main Street that runs to the beach just outside of the old city. It is a treat beyond words. Some of the best ice cream you will ever eat.
