Hello. I´m Pingüigrino, a spanish pilgrim and hospitalero. Today is my first day writing in this forum
Being retired of the military after 38 years "inside" now I´ve been plenty of free time.
´Since I CAN´T be all the year long in the Caminos ( My wife would kill me), should be my pleasure
to help you "foreigner" pilgrims about your questions and needs. I think I´m quite well informed about Camino Aragones, Camino de Baztan, Camino Vasco Interior, and, of course ,Camino Frances. I think this could be for me a good way to "be" there without been divorced. ;) My apologies for my bad english, just trying to improve it. Buen Camino.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
Welcome to the forum @Pingüigrino! I might ask you for advice about the Camino Baztan at some point. It is so good to get a Spanish perspective on issues and questions. There are a few other active forum members who live in Spain and their input is invaluable for us visitors to your beautiful country.

And I agree - the forum is a very good way of being 'on Camino' without actually deserting our loved ones :)

Hi, Pingüigrino,

I know exactly what you mean about the forum being a good way to stay connected with the forum without familial discord. :) My husband has walked a couple of short caminos with me (from Ferrol and from Tui) and he thinks I'm nuts, basically.

I agree with Nuala about how much benefit our Spanish participants bring -- I've gotten so much help from people like @Castilian, @amancio, @Juanma, @Charrito, and probably lots of others whose name I am not thinking of right now. Welcome to the forum!!! Buen camino, Laurie

Welcome to the Forum! It is a pleasure to have you participate. Local pilgrims can assist in so many ways and we all look forward to your comments.

Your English is significantly better than my Spanish. We all seem to do the best we can and recognize that we all make mistakes.

God bless you,

Welcome to the forum Pingüigrino: Don´t worry about your mistakes. People here are very tolerant on this subject.
Don´t ever feel bad after making a mistake because people here first will be interested in what you are saying.
