My Camino start date is fast approaching and I am now training with my Pacer Poles but I am finding that my existing RAB (VR Tour) gloves are too warm and sweaty. Really would like some thin breathable gloves to use in May/June - to avoid chaffing and for sun protection too - what do you recommend? Also having suffered a few blisters around the left ankle I want to try some sock liners - again which ones work best best to wick moisture away. Using vaseline on feet and that does seem to help.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

I take it you're wearing boots?
I suggest you switch to trail runners now, not later.

That said, I find using my Pacer Poles with gloves didn't work too well.
I didn't use the gloves and was fine.

I prefer boots. I wear combat boots at home. I don't even own shoes or trainers! Its what I am used too and my feet are happy in. I could never wear trail runners with a pack. But everyone is different and I can see why some people prefer them. Use what is best for you!

I was speaking to jostony, who said he had blisters around his ankles.

I don't wear gloves with my Pacer Poles either, and that works fine.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

With cold weather gloves whilst walking have been welcome but hands soon get warm. Hopefully weather in May/June means I won't need them. I have dodgy ankle so like reassurance boot support gives me.
