Lisbon-Porto-Santiago starting September 2010

Hey everyone
Sorry to start an introduction with my route, but I'm nervous this is such a un-pilgrimmed route I wanted to catch anyone who might be in the same boat's attention! (More popular routes are far easier to step into the unknown on)

I'm Clara, and I did Porto-Santiago in June. Whilst I felt the need to keep going, I didn't want to go south to Fatima (or out to Finisterre at that time) and my feet wouldn't have taken it anyway.

I'm thinking either that future caminos will be other routes to Santiago, or perhaps my lifetime journey will be Lisboa-Santiago-Lourdes-Rome-Jerusalem.

Our paths -if they are destined- will meet on one of the various caminos, but particularly if anyone will be on the pre-Porto part of the Portuguese route in early September (or perhaps feels the need to provide assurance)- then please give fate a helping hand and make contact!

bom viagem & buen camino!

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Hi Clara
My Canadian friend and I will be starting in Lisbon on 1st September. Perhaps we will meet you along the way. I am also rather nervous but I am sure we will all be protected by the Camino Angels
Bom Caminho

Oh hello! Are you the same Heather that's West Australian? I'm from Melbourne originally. And is your Candian friend gaspésie? Thanks so much for the reassurance I'm not the only mad one out there!

I think you'll be a week ahead of me, so fingers crossed I don't catch up with you, but merely hear of you in tales from the admiring locals you've impressed as you've sailed past, fit and blister-free!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Hi Periperi
Yes thats me. I met my Canadian friend on my first Camino Frances in 2007 and we have kept in touch since. He has been bitten by the Camino bug too and walked the Le Puy route since then, now we are both keen to walk the Portuguese. maybe next year the Via de la Plata, God willing.

Good luck fellow Aussies, Camino07 and Periperi. Hope the weather is kind to you. Love to hear about the Portugues between Lisbon and Porto so please let us know if at all possible. We walked from Porto to S in 2007 and had a great time, met some great people. Doing the Vdlp next year, long as we can stop our bodies ageing!! :?

Buen camino. Carole
