Does Easyjet fall into this category? We are thinking of flying from CDG to Biarritz on Easyjet. We will have one checked bag for our walking poles, Swiss Army knife etc. ( we know these could be purchased in SJPP, but decided to take our own).

Most airlines now charge for add ons .......even British airways have "hand luggage" only fares ...and charge for food and drink on board ...they also charge for choosing seats up to 24 hours before the flight ...and then it's a pick and mix

No more charges for paying with plastic either!

For those wondering how to get to "the ar....e hole" Stansted ...there are 24 hour buses from London now.

For Nama Mama.....yes easy jet does fall into the same category

Annette, maybe this is one of those old posts that slipped through with the upgrade.... no, it didn't but you do have to laugh! I know, feck is allowed, some of the rest isn't, but gloss it over, and I agree that Ryanair has improved so much from the days they would nearly measure you within an inch of your life, never mind your bag..

Yes you are right..
I used to play this for everyone ..it is very funny

I do remember those bad old days when I used to put another 10 kegs of stuff into my many pockets inside my coat!!!!

We did get up to a lot of tricks when flying Ryanair!

And don't even mention the walking poles....enough said.....that would be telling!

Don't worry, the song is a (hilarious) exaggeration! Low-cost airlines are absolutely fine. You have to read the rules carefully, of course, but this is true of any airline, really.

I love easyJet, by the way - one of the best low-cost airlines I've flown. Be sure to try their blueberry muffins, they're very good

Got a ticket for my "better half" with www.norwegian.com from Alicante April 4th (5 hours flight), to (high) Northern Norway for 100 Euros, suitcase and seat reservation included. Not bad at all. Incredible, as a matter of fact. (We are spending Easter in Malaga, and touring Spain for 10 days before that, and afterwards I am off on the Camino Mozarabe from Almeria. Alone!)
