Lugo or sarria ?

Doing the camino again or the last 100 again and on to finiserra and muxia as i am pushed for time .... can you get a compestala starting from lugo as I get in late and might only make it to lugo via bus from santiago airport ... the reason I ask is I have read about signage been changed etc and lugo been deemed less than 100 km from santiago . Thanks in advance for any info

Yes. The rerouting and remeasuring of the Primitivo left the distance from cathedral to cathedral as something like 99.5km. The Santiago cathedral authorities sensibly decided it would be a nonsense to quibble over a few hundred metres.

Very interesting reading , I may in fact track myself to see the actual distance . Nevertheless I am excited to have a new path to walk as I have done sarria a couple of times and looking forward to seeing the road from lugo .
