Camino del Norte - planned
I intend to walk the Camino INGLÉS from Ferrol beginning on 05/09/2023. I am flying into Madrid and wish to take a train to Ferrol. Being English only I am having trouble researching this. May I ask for some pointers on how to book a train ticket online?

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
There may also be a possibility of travelling directly to Ferrol from Madrid Airport T4 by ALSA bus.

Download the ALSA app and search.

We are flying London to Madrid and then flying up to Coruna and taking buses to Ferrol from there

There are 2 trains Madrid-Ferrol on that day: https://venta.renfe.com/vol/search.do?c=_cUuf
Both go via Santiago and A Coruña. So, it might be a good idea to get a ticket to one of those 2, and then possibly a bus to Ferrol. It will give you more options.
Or, as someone else suggested, try Alsa for bus options.
There's 1 from the airport, but you would be traveling all night, arriving in Ferrol early the next day.

Thanks to all who offered suggestions. Please know that I decided to fly from Madrid to A Coruña and then bus to Ferrol. May not be the least expensive, but is the most efficient.

I used trainline.com to reserve a ticket and seat from Madrid to Ferrol. It's a direct train. Used it last year when I walked the Camino Ingles. The app is in English and after looking at other apps I couldn't find a train till I used trainline.com. Buen Camino

I did the reverse journey in a very comfortable train that travelled at speeds of around 300klm and it was quite cheap. I may have changed trains once, it was easy to do. I also had no problems buying a ticket from RENFE. I used their app on my Android smartphone and paid with my Wise card that allows super convenient and cheap currency exchange.
