I'm about 28 days away and I'm looking at online guides. I find so much information that it's giving me brain damage. I'm not overly concerned with stages and albergues for the moment. I'll be winging that part when I get there. I'm prepared to sleep out and carry some food. I'm just wondering if anyone knows where I might find some decent and somewhat detailed maps of Spain. Can I get them in Spain? I'll be starting in Bayonne or Irun and walking the Tunnel or Vasco depending on what you want to call it.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Check out fellow Forum member Peter Robins comprehensive and encyclopedic site The Walking Pilgrim for on-line digital maps of the Ruta del Túnel

Elkar is a bookshop chain in the Irun/San Sebastian area. Their Irun branch is at
Paseo Colón, 8. Tele. 34 943 63 17 26. Perhaps they might sell a printed map of your route

I have an app on my phone called ViewRanger GPS. I don't use it as a tracker but I have purchased and downloaded the 1 in 500000 detailed contour maps of Spain covering where I walk in case I "detour" intentionally or (more often) otherwise.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
