Hi Margaret,Tell me about your memorable celebrations?
Hi Margaret,Hi,
I leave 4th of July, American Independence Day!- With God’s help-
I know God never ceases to bring His people to Him and I’ll get to celebrate Mass as I need to.
I’m wondering if you have attended Mass on the Coastal Camino, where, when? Daily Masses are fantastic, yes?
Of course in Santiago and I read there are now 3 Masses in big church and a Mass in little church next to pilgrims office.
Tell me about your memorable celebrations?
Right on Ruth!
I’ll be right behind you. I’m in Fatima the night of the 5th, Porto the night of the 6th and I plan to start early out of Porto on the 7th. I get lost in my backyard and I’m not much of a planner so it will be quite the adventure.
This is my first Camino and I’m giving myself time to get to Santiago by the 25th. My daughter will meet me there-God willing- it will be one of many miracles I’ve been blessed to experience.
Bom Caminho
I'm volunteering at the pilgrim's office after I'm done with my Camino starting on July 20th, although I should be walking into Santiago on the 18th. If we don't end up seeing each other on the trail, please take the time to look me up once you are in Santiago!Right on Ruth!

On my first Camino starting on Burgos, I got lost because I missed an arrow. It allowed me to take my all-time favorite picture from that Camino, but added about 5k to my day....and it happened again on my second day, too! It might have happened on my 3rd day, but I had a very nice local tell me that I was going the wrong way.I get lost in my backyard and I’m not much of a planner so it will be quite the adventure.
Lilla,Dear Margaret!
I wish you God's help during the adventure.
Im starting on the 29th of June, fom Rota Vicentina or Lisbon, still not decided.
What can you recommand? How i the covid situation right now? Is it hard to find any accomodation?
For any advices, help, I would be so grateful!
Good luck, God bless you!
I will walk the CP-coastal in late fall this year. The comradery and the spirit of the Caminos are very addictive. Never felt as welcomed and free before my CF in July 2019.My best advice is pray-an army of angels guides your way. This forum has great information and there are bunches of blogs and YouTube videos that are informative. Duolingo is fun and a smile from my heart speaks when words fail me.
Bom Caminho!
I did not attend mass on my Camino da Costa until I got to Santiago. However on my Camino Frances I attended three memorable masses. In Santo Domingo de Calzada I stayed at the Albergue Abadia Cisterciense where the nuns held a multilingual service in the late afternoon based on the languages of those present. Then in the evening they took you to the cathedral for a special mass with pilgrims, locals and children. In Burgos I stayed in Divina Pastora Albergue above the chapel and attended a beautiful mass in the tiny chapel. Then in La Faba on the way up to O Cebrerio I stayed in Albergue Par run by The German Confraternity where I attended a mass taken by the craziest priest I have ever encountered. You pay your money and you take your chanceHi,

On the Portuguese Central route in Barcelos a special mass for pilgrims takes place. The Barcelos Mass is after 19:00 and I think daily. I was made to feel very welcome and the pilgrims were called for a blessing by the local priest and we were invited for a meeting with the Priest and the the Brother (Monk) who gave us shells decorated by the parish children.Hi,

Now I'm sad that I won't be stopping there. I just knew that I couldn't stick with the normal stages, since I can't really handle more than about 25 km in a day, although, as much as possible, I stayed at 20 km/day. *sigh* Getting older is not for sissies! On the Portuguese Central route in Barcelos a special mass for pilgrims takes place. When I walked the Camino Ingles in September 2020, I attended Mass in the church next to the pilgrims office, with Fr Manny Domingo. We were the only 2 people there! It was wonderful to celebrate Mass in English and quite special.Hi,
