St James' Way - Self-guided 4-7 day Walking Packages, Reading to Southampton, 110 kms
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
hi santos
check out the pilgrimage to santiago and traveling to/from the camino
you can also use "search site"

yes, you should travel alone
you'll meet lots of people along the way

if an albergue is by donation only
you leave as much or as little as you want

a recent poster says to figure on 1 euro per kilometer
that sounds reasonable to me

i think 10 euros a day would be cutting it a little close
you'd have to make all your own meals and
you'd miss hanging out in bars with other pilgrims
