Time of past OR future Camino
Francés - StJPP-Santiago May-June 2022
(Thought I’d done this already, but here goes again!) Canadian leaving May 8 for St-Jean, aiming to do entire route and taking it at a mellow (will be newly retired) pace. Right now I’m focussed on my already sore feet but am looking forward to picking my head up and focusing on the horizon instead and having a Buen Camino.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

I left SJPDP on May 17, 2019. My thought is you should be very aware of weather conditions on the day you cross over to Roncesvalles. If it's cold, rainy, windy, whatever, please consider starting on another day. The scenes are beautiful, but you won't see or appreciate them if the clouds are low and the cold rain is trickling down your neck. That was my experience and wholly my fault. Don't make my mistake. And enjoy the beginning of your retirement.

Thanks for that advice. I guess I’d have to suck up the paid reservations for Orisson and Roncesvalles if that happens!
