Thanks Margret. WOW - dieing on Good Friday in the Cathedral that would be an ultimate end to ones pilgrimages.

There's a Don Gaiferos restaurant in old town. I always wondered what the name was about. Thanks @mspath !

Now you have a reason to stop by! The sign shown in the reportage c.2004 hung within the old, old office at rua Vilar/ rua Xelmirez where pilgrims obtained their Compostela.

One of my favorite memories from my Camino Português in 2015 was the Cruz de San Telmo, between Tui and O Porrino.

San Telmo was returning home after completing his pilgrimage when he took ill and died by this little brook in southern Galicia. A very lovely and tranquil place.
