Need some suggestions

Hola!
I am going to be walking the Camino Frances in June starting in St Jean. I will be bringing my iPod along for mutiple reasons, for keeping addresses, holding pictures from home, soothing music, uplifting music, and of course my first love, audio books.

This is where I need some help/suggestions. I want to get (borrow from the library) 2 maybe 3 audio books to listen to while I walk. What books would you bring, and why? :?: I like all types of books, and am always open to new authors/genres.

Muchas Gracias!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Hi Carrie,
I think there haven't been any responses to your question because who can know what might please someone else? And I'm struggling a bit with the idea of being plugged in for the walk but that's possibly because I'm from an older generation. At any rate - I picked up a book in the London airport for the flighthome which was really interesting. It was called The Last Queen by CW Gortner and was particularly interesting at that point because it takes place in much of the area you will walk through, including Burgos. It is the story of a daughter of Queen Isabella and Ferdinand and their struggles/wars/betrayals/loves in trying to capture or keep various parts of Spain. Tumultuous times for sure.
Buen camino

We've discussed this somewhere else but I'll recommend IBERIA by James Michener. Read it a few time and it provided a great reference for Spanish history, places and people. It's very readable.
