Hello Everyone. I am Michelle and I live in Canada, new to this Forum.

The Camino Frances will be my first Camino experience. I do not know when I will go but I know I will. At this time I am caregiver for my Mum, 89, and cannot see going on this trip until it is easier to do so.

This has allowed me to do a great deal of research on just about all of the aspects of the journey. But I do look forward to gleaning many more good ideas through the members of this forum.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Hi Michelle and welcome.

Keep browsing the forum as you plan your trip. I'm sure you already have a good idea of what you need (and don't need) for the pilgrimage so you'll be prepared when the time comes. Let us know of any specific questions when they arise.

Buen Camino!

Hi Michelle. I am a fellow Canadian and I will be going sometime this September. I hope that this forum and the numerous interesting blogs that you will note here over time will make the waiting for "your" camino time a great learning and preparatory experience.

Buen Camino from Robert

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Hi Michelle,
Another Canuck! I think walking the Camino will be a very suitable transition or respite from caring for your mom.

I believe strongly that having made the decision to walk the Camino, your pilgrimage has already begun.

Look for opportunities to walk. For me personally, in the forest is best. And open your sense of wonder. Life is so good, so says a past pessimist. The Camino helped me become an optimist.

Buen Camino,
David, Victoria Canada.
