Welcome John. Terry walked from Exeter, via Plymouth/Santander, then part of the Norte and on the Primitivo last May - age 65+. He took 32 walking days in Spain, plus 3 here in England, about 20km a day.
Which route are you hoping to follow? We look forward to reading about your progress.
Buen Camino

Hi John,
Just in case you do not know...
The most popular Camino route is the Camino Frances from St Jean Pied du Porte or Roncesvalles to Santiago. To many, this is "The Camino".

There is a multitude of other Camino routes starting all over Europe and converging by the final destination of Santiago.

Thought I'd explain this to you just in case "The Camino" to you is the Camino Frances.

You have a few months to enjoy getting physically fit and preparing your body for the sometimes arduous walking.

Enjoy the preparations as part of the journey, and ask any questions you have on this forum. The members have a wealth of experience and are very helpful in sharing advice.
