Hi! My name is Sandra, 22 y old. I want to walk to Santiago de Compostela, sometime. But, a walk from Sweden would be about 5000km, so maybe I go to Aix-la-Chapelle by train or something first...:)

Have anyone walked the route between Aix-la-chapelle and Santiago de Compostela? I could need some practical advices, I don't know anything, this is a very new idea for me...

Sweden to Santiago

Hola Sandra,
Have you visited these websites?:

and the Norwegian pilgrim site:

340 pilgrims from Sweden walked the camino in 2005 and the most famous medieval Swedish pilgrims were St Bridget of Sweden and her husband Ulf who walked to Santiago de Compostela in 1341-42 (Ulf died on the way home from Compostela and is buried at Alvastra near Vadstena)
One of her more well known sayings is:
‘Lord, show me your way and make me willing to walk it’.
I'm sure she will show you the way!
