Camino Frances (2017)
Leaving SJPP 18th April. Not stressing about Napoleon route and possibility of being closed. Have booked Orisson but if not possible will switch to Valcarlos. Am going to believe that the Camino will decide and provide!

I have allowed 6 weeks so hopefully I will get to Finisterre and Muxia

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Have a wonderful time planning your trip. 6 weeks should give you lots of time. Congrats on booking Orrison you will not regret it. Take your time, walk slow, rest...there is NO need to get to your stopping spot by 1pm. Make every step the experience not the daily goal. As you walk those first days remember your going to feel stronger as each day passes...as long as you listen to your body. When it says stop....Stop. I may have been one of the last ones in every day...but I got there. Take some music for the hard times...there will be....it helps to take your thoughts from your feet...or the rain. Just not to loud, stay aware. You'll think you can't take another step....you'll question why....in the end it will be over far too soon....and you'll be wishing to return.
Buen Camino :)

I think your attitude will get you through nicely, just go with the flow and remember the camino has a way of giving you what you need, not what you want.
I don't know what your pace will be, but 6 weeks sounds ample time to go to the end of the world.
Have a wonderful journey.

Hi Annie,
I'm starting in st Jean on the 17th April so perhaps our paths will cross. I'm a solo female new walker as well. I'm from New Zealand. Good luck :)

We started our Camino on the 19th April 2012 and had a life changing experience, I wish the same for all of you.
Six weeks should be plenty.
Buen Camino.
