Not sure which road to travel

Not sure but want to walk some of it in April 2014
Hi, I am planning a week to ten day holiday with my 17 yr old daughter in April. I wanted to do something a bit special with her as opposed to a regular week away in a hotel type trip and we are both excited about walking one of the caminos but which one? We have narrowed it down to two; either the Finisterre or the Sarria to Santiago. To me the Finisterre looks much more appealing, especially the scenery and ending up at the sea! However I would like to take a much more leisurely pace than the 3/4 days recommended. Are there places to stay where we can break our journey in to smaller bites and if so can anyone recommend the hotels/villages where we may stop? If this route is too demanding (I am not terribly fit) then is the Sarria option the best? Thank you!

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Hi Karen,
With ten days for walking I would suggest starting at Sarria for a 5 day walk to Santiago and see how you enjoy the "final section" you would then have enough time to walk one way to Finisterre and bus back.
The route from Sarria is a good mix of terrain and scenery and provided it is not a holiday week can been enjoyable
Just a thought, all the best
Buen Camino

Thank you so much. We are leaving on Monday and really looking forward to it. I have been training with my dog and hopefully will manage ok. I will let you know how we do. Very best regards, Karen.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I wish you and your four legged companion all the best, I am sure you will both have a great walk.
Take your time, look after your feet and enjoy the walking and scenery, you have my envy and look forward to your news.
again, Buen Camino

Karen,
Apologies, after re-reading your original post I realise that you are walking with your daughter, not your dog (training only I presume), my advise is the same though.
Just a thought, have you booked accommodation or are you using alberges? It can be less stressful if you have booked in advance unfortunately not something you can do for many alberges.
I wish you both all the best

Alan, thank you so much for your thoughtful replies. Since my daughter and I decided to make this journey it seems as though kindness is in abundance! We wanted to take our lovely dog with us but found accommodation too difficult but she has had a wonderful time walking with us meanwhile. Yes we have reserved accommodation in advance as well as luggage transfers. 'Camino Lite' as they say but we are all the same looking forward to it with the same spirit. We leave tomorrow and I will certainly let you know how we found it. Thank you once again for taking the time to give advice and encouragement to a complete stranger.
