October 2006 - 100km in 5 walking days - Possible?

Hello Everyone! I'm planning on walking and finishing 100km (60 miles?) in 5 days - 12 miles a day. Is this possible if I'm starting from Leon to Santiago? I already emailed American Pilgrims for the "Credencia".

I'm taking a train from Paris to Barcelona. Then, from Barcelona - how do I get to Leon?

Unfortunately, my and my friend are limited in time and had thought of doing it in 5 days. Please advise.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

5 Day Camino

Oh dear - it is over 300 kms from Leon to Santiago!

If you want to walk 100 kms in 5 days you will be better off starting in Sarria which is 114 kms from Santiago.

If you decide to start in Sarria you can get there on an overnight train from Barcelona but it will be a long journey for you and quite costly.
BARCELONA (*) Destination SARRIA
20:00 Arr: 09:47 First Class only E60,40 (one way)

To do another search fro trains you must go to the Renfe site:
http://horarios.renfe.es/hir/ingles.html

Good luck!

Why the hurry?

This is the same route we would like to do (Paris, Barcelona and then Leon to Santiago). Please let us know how it goes for you.

Have you decided how you will go from Barcelona to Leon?

What preparations have you done in order to get ready for this journey?
