Off and running, well walking, in mid-September 09.

Hi everyone,
Just excited to mention that I am walking the Camino this year, starting in September ...... dates not yet finalised ...... but this is as close as I have come to a definite month/year in which to 'seize the day' :shock:

Anyone else.
Did TravellingSoon complete her trip?
Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Great to hear Lillypond! The time will roll around quickly and you will be on your adventure before you know it.
TravellingSonn did complete her trip. I just found her YouTube, which will serve to inspire you I am sure: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMuIjQelA9M;
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
"Anyone else" Yes Lillipond, us - Our flights from Costa Rica are already booked and Adriaan and I will be starting from Roncevalles on 16th September. Hope to arrive at Santiago somewhere around the 20th October. This is our second Camino, the first having been split in two sections Roncevalles/Nájera in 2007 and Nájera/Santiago in 2008. This time we want (hope) to do the whole Camino in one go, while we are still fit (both in the over 65 group)! Maybe we will see you along the Way.
Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Hello Lillypond: I am starting my Camino on about Sept 10 / 11, I have a ticket out of Vancouver on Sept 8, ( Air France to Biarritz was the best deal) then working my way down to SJPP after a couple of days of RR. Biggest challenge I have had is trying to figure out what clothing to take for weather, could be really warm or could be snow by late October. Counting the days all the same.

Ok, so inspired by the "Has the Camino lost it's way" thread. What would people change to the current Camino (CF) to make it better in their own eyes/opinion whatever that may be (without breaking...
I have just seen a Facebook post from Foncebadon commenting on very heavy snow there. It looks as if the Camino route will be impassable for the moment.
Have you heard of Pena dos Corvos? It is supposed to be a high point (660m) before Portomarin. Google Maps can find four Penas dos Corvos on the north coast of Galicia, but not on the CF. A lot of...
So we have purchased our airline tickets to Pamplona and back home from Santiago. Now we want to reserve places to stay in SJPDP and Santiago. I'd love suggestions for both please. Where did...
How necessary is it to have reservations at Albergues on CF in September. Planning on starting around Sept 4th 2024
Hello fellow Pilgrims, I'm looking for some collective wisdom / advice please, from those who have more experience of the routes above than I do. I've walked a little in Spain before (Camino...
