LIVE from the Camino On the Sanabrés

After walking hundreds of kilometers from Valencia we reached Galicia and approached Albergueria hoping that one of the most wonderful bars of the Camino, El Rincon del Peregrino, would be open. Over the past few years I had heard it was closed. Grateful to find it open. Welcomed by Roberto we will stay the night at their albergue and he helped me to find the shell I left here almost 5 years ago. The walls and ceiling of the Bar and Albergue across the street are covered with shells left by pilgrims over the years. All sorted by date. Wonderful! One of many special stops on The Camino.

This morning walking out of The Albergue across from Rincon de Peregrinos (The Shell) Bar in Albergueria on Camino Sanabres I slid my finger along the outside table top. Saharan sand.

It’s clearing up after 3 days though as the sun is finally breaking through.
