Parking and Travel info please - Roncesvalles, Burgos

Hi,
we are on the camino, doing it in stages, a bit every year.
Last year we crossed the Pyrenees and arrived in Roncesvalles.

Two questions :

This year we will be picking up where we left off, and will be arriving with our own car, so we will have to park it in Roncesvalles somewhere for about 12 days.
Q1.Anybody know where would be a good safe place to park ?

We are planning on walking from Roncesvalles to Burgos. Then we will have to return from Burgos to Roncesvalles to pick up the car.
Q2. Is there a train or bus service available to get us back from Burgos to Roncesvalles ?

Thanks in advance.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Parking in Roncesvalles - Return of the Peregrino

Parking in Roncesvalles:

In Roncesvalles there is a huge parking area. There are three buildings in close proximity, from north to south: Capilla de Santiago, Sancti Spiritus, and La Posada. On the south end of La Posada (where you have the after-Mass cena de trucha) there is an access road. It will traverse from the main highway, behind and parallel to the three aforementioned buildings, into a very large parking lot. Ask at the Antiguo Molino (aka: Tourist Information) about this if you have any questions. It’s the tiny little building just up from La Sabina.

If you think the timing will be too close to call from the train staion to the bus staion, I have the name/address/phone of an inexpensive hostal steps from the bus station. I do not wish to overpopularize the little place, so write and ask me the details. My Email follows my signature at the bottom.

In the meantime, here are a few maps you might like to peruse from one of my Peregrino Websites ...

The last one of the 27 Etapas is very, very useful.
