Anyone knows about the Dutch "Pieterpad " (Peter path) that starts in the utmost northern part of the Netherlands in the village of Pieterburen and after about 500 kms it ends just south of the beautifull town of Maastricht ?
There It links to the Santiago route through Belgium and France and the first well known
blue and yellow scallop signs show up just before the city of Sittard when you cross the Dutch border again after a short walk through Germany.
The Pieterpad is a beautifull path through different landscapes .the Dutch mainly walk or cycle the path
during the weekends . There is plenty of place for sleeping - no albergues but mostly privat rooms I found this website link in english http://richardtullochwriter.com/2009/12/26/pieterpad-walking-cycling/
