The numbers just keep rising from those affected by the train accident near Compostela.
Pilgrims in Santiago...please go to the Hospital Clinico and offer to donate blood as it is URGENTLY needed. There are at the time of writing at least 70 seriously injured and the number injured is a lot more. There are also 35 dead. Your donation might help that terrible number from being more.
Please, take a taxi and go do it....

Thank you, Frank. The response from the community has been wonderful, but one expects that sort of thing in Santiago. On FB, a friend wrote: ...hoy todos somos gallegos...todos somos peregrinos: today we are all Galician; we are all pilgrims. This Saint James Day that is twice as true as ever.
