Go swimming at the end of the day in the municipal swimming pools. Most small towns have them, and for 2 or 3 Euros: it's a great way to cool off and relax. Estella would have to be my pick; indoor pool, sauna, spa baths that practically cured my walking injuries!

The albergue in Boente (about 5 (??) km from Melide) also has a small pool, inaugurated this year I believe. Great albergue, too, at least if you don't have to sleep in the overflow room. The owner told me that big room was rarely open outside of August. Buen camino, Laurie
