Plans for new albergue in Pontedeume

There has been an agreement to renovate a 17th century former pilgrim hospital in Pontedeume for use as an albergue. The work is expected to take 8 months.

Very good news for the lack of beds but I actually enjoyed sleeping in the old fishing warehouse by the port

I stayed there one January and found it very cold and a bit cheerless. The building has also been subject to flooding in the past. A new location might be more manageable.

Couldn't agree more, but if what happened with the new Albergue in Ferrol is anything to go by we'll be extremely lucky if it's open mid-summer.
Something to look forward to though!

Of course, another option in/ near to Bruma would also be wonderful, dare I say it, perhaps even better....
