I'm not sure if the situation has altered for 2015, but at one time Caroline at Express Bourricot could take passengers anywhere from France to Spain, but could not pick up in Spain to come back to France.
Evidently, with the economic squeeze, the Spanish taxi drivers had complained about threats to their earnings and Caroline had to go to court.
I don't know if she has a Spanish licence yet. You would need to check with her.

The fare from Roncesvalles to SJPDP
Hello Irma, I am hoping to catch a bus from Roncesvalles to SJPdP on the 7/8th May and am hoping the busses are frequent and that I am not forced to take a taxi. I have decided to leave some things up to chance and not get too stressed about securing all details...fingers crossed!

Hi Karen
I shall attempt my first Camino at age 64 but do not feel older than 46! We plan to take the bus but as far as I know it goes only to Roncesvalles and not further. That is why I was asking about a taxi to take me down to SJPdP

I read somewhere on the Forum that there is a bus from Pamplona, the ALSA bus departs 14:00 and arrives SJPdP at 15:45 and costs €20. So maybe I will take this option. Buen Camino Karen

I see you are from Grahamstown! I have tried to google Alsa bus to no avail. They do not give the option from Pamplona to SJPdP even if I try the international booking. I am waiting for you to return and please let me know how you did it. Cannot understand that it could be so difficult... Have a great day and 'sterkte' with your preparations.

ALSA will list it closer to the date the service starts. They started before Easter last year, adding it just before service started. Keep looking in the international routes!

Thanks Irma, for the info on Alsa, I was going to investigate nearer the time.
Have you seen the Taxi Share thread on the forum, where you put in your dates from Pamplona and see if anyone travelling on the same day.

In their usual coy way, ALSA has started the service, once per day, but lists the destination as Biarritz with a stop in SJPdP!

There is something very passive-aggressive about the way ALSA starts this route each year!!!
