Quilting / fabric shops along the way?

As a pretty keen quilter I was just wondering if there are any fabric stores along the Camino Frances? I know I won't be able to buy much, though I could always post a parcel home. I know it's not really in the spirit of the Camino, however I just thought I might be able to feed my addiction along the way... On the plane to begin the journey tomorrow!

Hi AussieJan
I walked some of the camino in 2005; don't remember any quilt shops- I have the same addiction. Am just posting this to say good wishes to a fellow quilter! I was thinking about walking this year, but as I am about to get a dog my walking will instead be confined to the UK, hoping to do some camping too, although me+ a great dane in a small tent might be a squash!
If you are thinking of adding the UK to your trip you are welcome to come & stay for a few days & I'll take you to Quilters Haven, our local quilt shop. You can email me on rosie.crosby@manx.net if you are interested.
Happy trails.

Like others who wanted to pursue hobbies along the Camino, I'm not sure you'll have the time or energy but, if you do, there are even fabric shops in smaller centres. I have seen them in Viana, Sahagun, and Carrion de los Condes on the Francese, and Laredo and Irun on the del Norte. If a male normally oblivious to such things knows that two of his Spanish friends make some of their own clothing, I would imagine that there are many more.
