River Walk - Before Pontevedra

Apologies if this has been mentioned in other posts but I hadn't encountered this variant before. Between Arcade and Pontevedra, just after passing the small chapel Santa Marta, Bertola there is a divide in the route. The "main" route carries on straight ahead on a minor road for several kms. However if you take a left following the "River Walk" there is a much more pleasant alternative. Follow this path until you cross the river and take an immediate right. The path follows the river (a meter to your right). It is not waymarked but very obvious. When you come to a minor road, crossing your path, go straight across and continue the forest track. The path will eventually cross back over the river, continuing with the river on your left. Eventually you will come to a modern road bridge. To return to the main route, turn right keeping the road bridge on your lhs. You come out at a roundabout with the route obviously waymarked towards Pontevedra and the Albergue.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.
