There is a simple albergue some walk after Hontanas on FC. I stayed there, and it was so nice.

Does anybody know if the first part of the name of this place is written with an N or an M?
Miam Miam Dodo says M, Mundicamino says N.
I need to get this right for a text to publish.
:)

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

It's San Bol in Brierley's guide.....and I think that's what the sign says too. I thought about staying there, but it was too early in the day to stop so I kept on towards Hontanas.

I've got a clear feeling of an N too :)

I'll never forget that stay. No hot water, no electricity, no bathroom, but the young lady that welcomed us was a beautiful soul. There were four of us that night, and we had a great conversation too.

Thank you, renegadepilgrim :)

Hi,

It is definitely San Bol. All Spanish guides (big and small ones) are writing SAN BOL. In 1352 was existing in San Baudillo a "leprosería" that was called "San Boal" It was depending of the Monastery Antoniano in Castrojeriz. It is still existing as a refugio (San Bol)

So I think you can take for sure this way of writing.

Hi,

As a small addition may be the the confusion of tongues comes from the fact that there exists a small river Sambol in that vicinity!
Monastery San Anton is now a (huge) ruine approximately 2 km before Castrojeriz and one speaks also about a former Monastery San Boal in stead of a leprosería.

Thanks a lot for the clarifying and interesting information, Winterpilgrim :)
