Hello. so we are going to try to get from Santiago back to Madrid to catch our flight home, but I can't find the train schedule that shows me Santiago to Madrid. Does anyone know where I can see the train schedule? thx

I have found that I wasn't able to (easily) use my US credit card on the Renfe site, but PayPal worked perfectly.

Some people find other sites like Omio easier to use. You will pay a small extra fee though.

have you considered flying back? I wish I would have done that. My train ticket cost me around 63 Euros, fwiw.
 
The bus is an inexpensive way also. I took an overnight bus to Santiago in 2019, and had a wonderful time talking to a teacher and her two students, who were full of bright questions!
