what is best way to get from Santo Domingo de la Calzada to Ponferrada? Need to get a bus but seem to be having trouble with that connection. Does it need to be another city?

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

Cableseller:

A good question. I am not sure how you can get to Burgos but there should be a way from Santa Domingo. ALSA has bus service from Burgos to Leon (4 buses daily) and then service from Leon to Ponferrada almost hourly.

There might/should be a local bus service from SDdlC to Burgos.

Hope this helps.

Santo Domingo de la Calzada is not exactly a center of bustling transportation, Ponferrada does have a train station, more than you will find in Santo Domingo de la Calzada. Looking like a bus to Burgos, a bus or a train to Leon, and another again to Ponferrada. Buen Camino and good luck.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Someone at the alburgue should be able to help you?
They almost always have bus schedules posted.

Thanks all for the help. My buddies and i have three weeks. rying a little side trip to Legrono first and then from Ponferrada on to Santiago. Starting 9/14. Any suggestions on best way to Legrono from Madrid?

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
