Hi Woody,
My plan, if planning works for someone who doesn’t really know what is possible or not (personally I mean as I’m not a hiker in any sense of the word!) is to do the Senda Litoral, stay on the coastal up to Caminhas. From there join the Central at Tui and carry on the Central until Santiago.
Cicerone guide plots that as 10 stages, so 10 days.
I know, I know, you walk your pace and don’t get sucked into competing with a guide book.
I get into Porto late Saturday evening so I have booked 2 nights already. One to allow me to realise the amazing journey I am about to embark on and the other to see Porto.
So if all goes well, I start on the 19th.
I also have accommodation booked in Santiago on the 29th and 30th. My husband is flying out to meet me at the end.
My hope: I get there on the 29th or before, if before I just need to find somewhere to stay. I’ll be honest, if I make it before the 29th, it will only be by a day! Or I get there on the 30th.
In any case I need to fly back late on the first, would love to have had a shower before!
Oh dear, now I have a sketch in my head of getting into Santiago and having to go straight to the airport.
Haha, have a great weekend, Fi
