Short caminos?

Hi
I'll probably not get 5 weeks of from the family next summer to do a long Camino/pilgrim walk so I'm looking for caminos/pilgrim routes that are suitable for a week from home. So walking 5-7 days. In my world that is 200-250 km.

I have done Camino Frances, Finisterre/Muxía and Inglés. A part of Caminho Portuguese is one option but I don't want to spoil the last part as I want to do the whole in a couple of years but there might be several options for the last part?

I prefer to end up somewhere meaningful and not doing the start part of a trail and then assume that I'll be back. But I could consider that as well. For instance doing 20 km in summer and then 20 in the autumn. But travelling from the northern parts of Sweden to Europe is quite expensive.

And no taking the family with me is not an option.

You could try the later part Caminho Portugese Coastal Route variation ? Then walk from Lisbon or Porto via Tui (traditional route) when you have more time. Lots of information and links here http://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/forums/camino-portugues-coastal-route.109/

The Camino Portugues de la Coast starting in Aguarda. It is beautiful and some parts you have to play it by ear ( no marks). TRhe Coastal route and interior route meet up in Redondela.

Another option is , you could start the St. Olaf ´s Way ( at least part of it)...............

Portuguese from Porto the costal way means quite a lot on the rest onto Santiago and I prefer to have the final stages untouched when I do the whole CP.

As I said I'm not interested in doing a short part on a pilgrimage route in one week. Then I rather go to the Swedish mountain for an ordinary hike. I'm not the kind of person that hikes a route for one week at the time for several years.

Can't recommend the Salvador highly enough! You can do it in less than a week and spend a day in Oviedo . We took 6 days and just loved it. Solitary- spectacular scenery.
Have just read your stages on the Frances!! Think you could probably do the Primitivo in a week.

I would offer a strong second for the Camino Salvador. This is a great walk. You can fly to Madrid and train to Leon. After arrival in Oviedo you can train or bus back to Madrid. Depending on the time of year, this is a 4 to 6 day Camino. It is very solitary.

The Primitivo is also a nice option. This is an 11-14 day walk. Much more populated than the Salvador but less than the Frances.
