St Jean to Pamplona

HI All,
I'm thinking of booking to Biarritz and then busing it and taking the train to St Jean partly because the flights are better for me as I don't have to stay overnight in London. If the weather is awful and the mountain is not passable how can I get from St Jean to Pamplona without taking a taxi on the sunday ?

Thanks in advance, sorry so many questions, just trying to organise last minute!

Well , by the time you arrive , there may not be any snow at all. Snow ploughs are at the ready if there is the slightest chance of snow - I've seen them parked next to the road with lights flashing. You will always have the option of walking along the road which I have done from Roncesvalles untill under the snow line.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Hi, I just checked out the website suggested here for the bus from Pamplona to SJPP and keep getting a message that there is no bus service. Does anyone know why it shows no bus service from Pamplona to SJPP? Perhaps it only runs at certain times of the year? Would appreciate some feedback on this. We are leaving for SJPP on May 14 and was hoping to take this bus.
Thanks Nikki

At the moment, ALSA is showing service only between March 22 and April 7. A Forum member who lives in Pamplona has visited the bus station, and has been told that summer service will begin May 1, as it has in the past. The ALSA computer does not show that yet.
