Hello, my dates have changed and I will be starting from SJdPd on this date. Hoping to get into Orisson (again). If so, I am sure we will meet. Buen camino.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Not long now!! Just about everyone you meet at Orrison will have been wondering if they will be walking alone or would they meet some pleasant people ... it will be lovely.

There is a belief that one is 'gifted' a pilgrim group depending upon when and where one starts. Start a different day and you get given a different group of individuals ... you will lose them and meet them again throughout your pilgrimage (if it gets horrid - it won't - take a day off and join in with the next day's gift).

Buen Camino!

Angela, I thought you were walking the Norte and the EPW - or is this just a stroll to fill in some time?!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I am starting on that date also . I was going to stay in Biarritz for a few days and paint , if I could find a couch surfer to stay with . It has not happen so far ,so looks like I will go directly to SJPP from Paris on the 20.Hope we meet on the way /Buen Camino.

Hi Kanga, I fly to Biarritz on 18/4/15 and can decide on Norte or Frances. I'm seeing Biarritz Don on Saturday evening and if it seems too lonely for a single female on the Norte, I'll do the Frances. I've booked SJPP and Orisson as a precaution if Norte too lonely. Best laid plans...... All the best for your Camino.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Hi Blades,
