Hello everyone!

First post. I been lurking here for the last month, ever since I decided to do the Camino Frances on 31 Aug. The last three weeks for me have been a whirlwind of research & planning, with a sprinkling of Spanish lessons, and industrial use of my kitchen scales to pare my pack down to manageable weight.

Am writing this on a train from Amsterdam to Paris, where I’ll do a warm-up walk across the city (gate du Nord to Montparnasse) where I’ll be catching a train to get me into SJPP tonight.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Merci beaucoup, mspath! Paris is beautiful (as always) and the walk to Montparnasse was truly delighful. Enjoying the views from the TGV now as it speeds its way to Bayonne.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
We have rode on the Paris CDG - Bayonne TGV and LOVED IT. But I wish they would trim the bushes lining the track for a better view of the French countryside !! :) Enjoy your trip !!

Buen Camino

Buen Camino! We may cross paths. Flying to Madrid tomorrow and on to Pamplona. My husband and I plan to start walking from Pamplona on Oct. 5th from Pamplona after taking a couple days to get our bearings.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
I began my Camino in SJPP in a late September, and it was a fine time of year to be there. From my experience, get good advice at the visitor’s center before you stay in a private home in SJPP. I had a bad experience with an eccentric host. Despite that, it was a great start to a fabulous experience. Buen Camino!

Coming from Melbourne Australia, there is light now, out international borders should open soon. I’m planning September 2022, to walk from SJPP to Santiago, surely that will work. Only two years after my first booking was cancelled.
