Starting in Porto 5/4/22!

Super excited about starting in Porto around the beginning of May. I have done two long sections of the Frances on my own and will be accompanied by my husband on this trip. Very much looking forward to exploring the Coastal Route.

Buen Camino! You will LOVE the coastal route. And I always, always advise pilgrims to do the Senda Litoral along the river! It is so much nicer and more rewarding to start from the cathedral, take the stair steps down to the river and walk to Matosinhos, or farther, versus taking the Metro! Elle's advice is right on point: start your walk from the Porto cathedral and stay with the Senda Litoral. In 2018, my wife and I used the Senda Litoral all the way to Vigo. Very scenic with the ocean views and breezes.
