Hi Michele and Mark. I leave from Toronto on the 12th and was planning a couple of days in Porto before starting out on the 15th. I'm planning to do as much on the coastal route as possible. Weather looks like it may be a little rainy and I might end up moving inland a little sooner if necessary.
 
Welcome to the forum @Michele & Mark - and @goody. Goody is obviously going to be walking the Portuguese, but Michele and Mark may well be walking the traditional Camino Frances.

At this time of the year it is probably a good idea to look at some of the threads on walking in winter.

We have looked through some of them and are very excited. We are from Alaska so are used to the cold and winter conditions, but any tips from anyone are more than welcome always!
 
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

And here we are, seating in front of our computers, laptop, cell phones, i pads, etc., at home . . . we should be out there on the camino with you! And now we are waiting for your first "live from the camino" update. Buena suerte y que la luz de Dios alumbre su camino.
