Thanks for sharing. Your photos are beautiful. I leave in 2 weeks to walk from Granada to Santiago, so was very interested in your blog. However, the photos showing the muddy trails etc prepared me, as I expect rain ( and wind and fog ) on the Sanabres !!

Very tempted Stu, I can't decide yet where to walk next year. Thinking about the Aragones and still have to finish the Sanabres as I went via Astorga this year. I will do some research on the Norte as I don't know much about it. I believe it is quite hilly so I would have to be much fitter. Thanks for the invite .

Very nice blog, thanks for posting it. I bet you'll love the Norte. I walked in May several years ago and the weather was great. Only one day of non-stop rain that I can remember, though unfortunately it was on one of the more beautiful coastal walks between Pendueles and Llanes. Guess I'll just have to go back.

If by chance you find yourself with some time to kill in Colunga, consider a cheap cab ride (about 5 euros) to Lastres. It's another one of those touristy but beautiful towns perched on cliffs with narrow streets. Good restaurants and very nice views, and you won't have too many tourists in May. Buen camino, Laurie

Hi Laurie,
In preparation for our walks, I have printed out your blogs and assiduously read them over taking notes for our walks. I hope we will have very little rain up North. You are one of the many camino's spiritual leaders. Thanks for your many inputs. stu
