I'm on my way to Santiago, and I really want to get a tattoo while I'm there. Just a small, simple black scallop shell, preferably a walk in.
Any recommendations for a good, clean parlor in Santiago that does walk ins? Preferably also one with an artist/artists that speak English, and/or specialized in black work or detailed line work.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

If you go to the Last Stamp Albergue its a well advertised one so easy to find.
As you look at the door start walking to your left, about 100m further down the street past the bakery
you will find a studio, very clean and professional.
Also they speak perfect English and are talented artists.
Thanks for the suggestion! What's the name of the studio? I'm not sure I'll be staying at Last Stamp but I will look for it when I'm there.

Check out "Old Skull Tattoo". Pau is very good and the receptionist Judy speaks English. I'm happy with my ink!

Hello, so my plans have slightly changed after completing the Coastal Portuguese and Finisterre/Muxia caminos on June 13. I now have 2 extra days in Santiago and was wondering where I should head...

The Santiago pilgrim office issued 3,171 Compostelas today. The second time so far this year when the total has been over 3,000. The first was on Good Friday when 3,193 Compostelas were handed out.
