After years of reading all the posts on this site yesterday I finally signed up as a member. I return to Fromista on May 21 to resume my Camino Frances and head home from Santiago on June 7 . Many thanks for all the info gained from reading posts here over the years . I made the mistake of doing the final 100 on my first trip and now realise that the journey from St Jean is special and prepares you for the final days into Santiago . I do not specifically mean religious but humility , achievement ( gained from a few tough days ) and a better idea of who you are as a person by that stage . The Compostela certificate is really only a paper trophy I think , it is the memories that matter as the years go by .
