The adventure starts tomorrow!

This is it. In less than 24 hours I will be on a train to Irun where I will begin my journey. Many feelings of excitement, anxiety, and the occasional flash of nervousness. I have been away from my family in California for the last 3 months, but for some reason I feel like I am saying goodbye to them all over again by getting on the train tomorrow. I know I will see them soon, I know I have their support, and I know they are just as excited as I am. But doing such an grand adventure without them is new for me.

I hope to meet friends along the camino. I hope to meet people who challenge my thoughts, teach me things, and I hope to hear their stories. I know this will be a wonderful journey, and I know only good will come from it :)

Now, I can only hope that the bad dreams about blisters will go away soon ;)

Eli_Marie:

When you get a hot spot stop and take care of it. There is no reason to get a blister. Therefore, nothing to worry about.

I start from San Sebastian on April 2nd. Maybe our paths will cross.

Have a wonderful time.
These days when I get bored with my work, I plan my next Camino. It's a poor substitute for being there but keeps me slightly sane until then.
You're very lucky to be starting - I envy you !
