The Meseta (hopefully April 2016)
I've just spent a glorious week crossing the vast plains between Burgos and Leon. When I walked the meseta in 2012 it was late September, post harvest, and the land was tired, brown and golden yellow. In spring 2016 it was a fresh green world. This short post on my blog gives a flavour of what it's like to dip in for a brief camino top-up.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I started the meseta April 7 (a few weeks ago), it was not quite green and too early for wild flowers. I was a day or two ahead of bad rain storms. That probably helped spring along!!!

We leave in a few weeks - I am hoping to still have some greenery and flowers. In CA, at lower elevations, our green hills are browning up and the wildflowers are disappearing.

Thanks for this advice. I have planned a May 3, 2017 departure from St Jean!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
