Still trying to decide if I like the larch smiley face. Creative and well executed but do we need it? After all we already have this.
Those presidents must'a had exxxtremely long necks. I just checked and all four are in the Guinness Book of World Records.

P.S. I see no golden larches, nor any golden arches.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The distance from Mt. Rushmore to the Canadian border is 464 miles or 747 kilometers for our EU friends...Like I said before, those presidents had long necks.

What was his teacher saying? I only recall his teacher saying "wok, wok, wok"...still not sure what that means.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

All I can think about now is an Australian group called "Men at Wok"...
And the lyrics to an old song "Wok like a man, Wok like a man, my son".
And as for Michael Jacksons Moon Wok!

At least I'm not "wokking 9 to 5...what a way to make a living "

I've been self isolating too long!

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Which reminded me of a story a Canadian in an email exchange group I'm in told of his WWI veteran father. Germans erected a sign above their trench, "Gott ist mit uns". The Canadians then erected a sign over their own trench, "We've got mittens too".

My German always defaults to me saying "Ich can my gummishuh nicht finden". Those soldiers would be in dire straits for sure.

We saw Dune yesterday. I caught this:

Dune (2021) - Spoilers and Bloopers - IMDb
When Paul is learning about Arrakis from the projector device, it describes the sandworms' length in meters, but the roots of the trees are in feet.
Well duh, Rick. The roots are the feet of a tree...it's how they stand up.

P.S. I googled "Dune". It has very high reviews and looks like it would be a bit of a "nail biter" sci-fi film.
I haven't been to a movie theater for about 8 years (after my movie buddy moved away), with the exceptions of seeing "A Walk in the Woods", and "I'll Push You".

Time, not length. So they will do the measurements in either parsecs or lightyears.
I've not heard of parsecs cuz I'm no nerd, but I do know who Buzz Lightyear is.

P.S. It's the "length" of a film; how "long" it lasts..not the time of a film...time only refers to the time you decide to attend a showing at the theater.
Time has no reference to measurements. I think I've gone down a wormhole here.

As far as Buzz is concerned the length of the film is infinity and beyond.

Is Buzz beyond infinity?
Apparently only BB knows...I am clueless about nearly an infinity of things...that's why I am a CC...Curious Cat. I try to learn by asking questions, although it doesn't always help.

Edit...ooops, this question was for BB, not me.

An absurdity

A few weeks ago I called cable and internet provider because neither was working.

After talking to representative a few moments I remembered I had just watered my plants. I had to move table to do so. I’d inadvertently unplugged cable and internet.

Problem solved.

I've read about a home PC problem. The owner and IT were working for some time trying to figure out why the computer wasn't booting. Finally the IT guy asks in desperation "Is the computer plugged in?"

"I'll have to get a flashlight to see. We've had a power failure."

Adorable photos, Rick...I just don't feel very confident they would be MY experience.

I'm very "Formula one".

Can't help thinking of the scene in the James Bond parody "Casino Royale" where the bandit tries to escape from Bond by throwing himself into his car and racing off - but not before turning to the camera and reciting: 'Bond thinks he is fast, but I am faster than he in my Lotus formula three, he-he!"

Here is a little clip from that crazy movie:

Must be the most parodied franchise going. From Mike Myers, Kingsman and Johnny English (to mention only a few).
Who can forget "the man from UNCLE"
Open channel D.

I loved "The man from U.N.C.L.E." especially Illya Kuryakin. I always repeated his name cuz it rolls off the tongue and made me sound like I had a sophisticated accent; not sure if it is Italian, French or Russian. One thing for sure...it is not German or Chinese.

The bear's public relations department may prefer it the other way around though.
I have friends that were planning a camping trip to the White mountains a few years ago. When they read about the many bears in that area, they actually changed plans and went to Colorado mountains instead because after researching they found out there were fewer bears there...who'd a thunk.

I guess they wanted the bear necessities to forget about their worries and their strife.

You haven't been paying attention to the TV ads? Dr. Rick can help.

For the east of the Atlantic folks here's our fake public service ads that Progressive Insurance has been showing:
Super hilarious, Dr. Rick!
I couldn't see if it was 3 minutes or less, but I took a gamble and watched it anyway.

I have saved nice gift boxes for years and years in my basement. Believe it or not, I just got rid of them all just a few days ago as I was searching for Peg. I probably had twenty of them. I now only save gift bags because when folded they "take up no room and weigh practically nothing".

EDIT...Oh, cardboard boxes are another story...I've got gobs of them!
